Carter York went down at Round 6 of TORN, breaking his arm and thumb. JJK Productions caught up with him to see how he was doing.

 Hey Carter how's it going?

Hey Kevin, I guess I could be better, but I'm pretty good.

We heard you crashed, take us through what happened.

Well I was recovering from breaking my humerous in my arm in August at a friends house and had just gotten the pins out of my arm the Tuesday before the Denton race, so the bone wasn't completly healed. I was passing my dad on a straight and I got headshake but I couldn't control the bike with my weak arm and I went tumbling. I broke the same bone in the same place and broke the metecarpal bone in my thumb.

Ouch! That had to suck, crashing in front of your dad. What did he have to say about it?

Well my mom had more to say about it than he did! (Laughs). My dad was mainly trying to keep people from running over me while the EMT's were trying to help me.

Dang. Do you know when we will see you on a bike again?

My doctor says about 8 to 12 weeks. Since we possibly went to early the first time, we are going to be alot more precautionary this time.

Don't worry man, I've been through the waiting. What do you do to keep yourself busy while you get healed up?

We just started home-schooling, so I'm trying to get ahead on that so I have more time to train and practice once I'm healed up. I can't play MX vs. ATV. Untamed on my X-Box with my broken thumb, but I have been watching Nitro Circus alot. (Laughs)
